What this does
Cloud sync needs a sign-in so the service knows which companies you may reach. Each computer registers once with its name and platform.
Steps
- Go to Settings › Cloud sync.
- Under Account, choose Sign in.
- If you are signed in to SeroPayroll, choose Use my SeroPayroll account. It says "Signed in as {email}: connect without an email code." You are done.
- Otherwise, enter your Email and choose Send code.
- Enter the 6-digit Code. It works for 10 minutes.
- The page shows "Signed in as {email}".
To use another address, choose Use another email.
Sign out
Choose Sign out in the same place. Sync stops on this computer. Your local files stay.
Your devices
The page lists Your devices: each computer you signed in on, with "Last seen". This computer shows This device.
Good to know
- The licence key must carry the Cloud add-on. If not, the page says so.
- The email code is the fallback if the SeroPayroll account link is not available.
- An invited person signs in with the email address the invite was sent to. See Invite people and join a cloud company.
- Sign-in to Cloud sync is separate from the company file password.
