Save a standalone copy

What this does

A standalone copy is a copy of the company with sync switched off. It is a separate company file on this computer. The cloud company stays as it was.

Steps

1. Open the cloud company.
2. Go to Settings › Cloud sync.
3. Under This company, choose Save a standalone copy.
4. The copy is saved beside your other company files. The message says "Standalone copy saved as {name}." The name ends in "(standalone)".
5. Open it from the company list. It opens with the same password.

Good to know

• Only an admin can do this.
• The copy has a new file identity and none of the sync information.
• Changes in the copy never reach the cloud company, and changes in the cloud company never reach the copy.
• The cloud company is not changed or deleted.
• Use this when you end the Cloud add-on, or to keep a frozen copy.
