What this does

Marking a remittance paid records the payment in the liability ledger. It does not move money. You pay through your bank or the agency first.

Steps

  1. Open the remittance.
  2. Choose Mark paid.
  3. In "Mark remittance paid", enter the date.
  4. Choose the method: Online banking, Electronic transfer, Cheque or Other.
  5. For a cheque, enter the cheque number.
  6. Enter the confirmation number, from the bank or the agency's receipt.
  7. Add a memo if you want.
  8. Confirm.

The row shows Paid, the date, and the confirmation number.

Choose PDF summary for a one-page summary that lists the payments. The notice says it is a worksheet and not an agency form.

Reopen

  1. Open a paid remittance.
  2. Choose Reopen.
  3. Give a reason.

The payment record is cleared, which voids that payment in the history. The remittance is open again.

Good to know

  • Every payment is listed in Liability history. See Liability history.
  • A paid row is never changed by later runs. A reversal or correction adds an adjustment. See Remittance adjustments after a correction.
  • The dashboard stops showing the remittance as due once it is paid.
  • A role that cannot work on remittances is blocked. Read-only users cannot mark paid.
