Remittances

Payee remittances (court orders)

Send what was withheld under court orders to each payee, mark it paid, and export a CSV or PDF.

What this does

When a pay run with court orders is approved, what it withheld for each payee appears under Remittances. You send the money to the court, enforcement office or agency, then record it here.

Steps

  1. Approve a pay run that has court-order deductions.
  2. Go to Remittances and open Payee remittances.
  3. Read each line: Payee, Account or file number, Period start, Period end, Amount, Status. The total open amount is at the top, for example "Open: $412.00".
  4. Send the money in the way the payee asked: cheque, electronic transfer, online banking or other.
  5. Choose Mark paid on the line. Enter the date and the confirmation number.

Use the filters at the top: All, Open and Paid.

Export

  • CSV saves the list.
  • Print makes a PDF.

How often

Set on each payee in Settings › Payees: Each pay (one remittance per pay period) or Monthly (one per calendar month).

Good to know

  • If nothing is owed, the page says "Nothing owed to payees."
  • To undo a payment, choose Mark not paid.
  • Payee remittances sit under Remittances because paying payees is payroll work. The payees list is in Settings.
  • Under a trial licence, the CSV carries the not-for-filing line.
  • The payment also shows in Liability history.

See it in your own numbers.
