What this does

If you have employees in Quebec, Revenu Québec has its own remittance. It covers QPP and QPIP, Quebec income tax and the Health Services Fund (HSF). The TPZ-1015 is the Revenu Québec remittance form. SeroPayroll gives you a worksheet with the same figures.

Steps

  1. Enter your Revenu Québec identification number in Settings › Company, under Revenu Québec.
  2. Pay employees who work in Quebec and approve the run.
  3. Go to Remittances and filter to Revenu Québec.
  4. Open the row. The worksheet is called TPZ-1015 worksheet.
  5. Pay through your bank or Revenu Québec's service.
  6. Choose Mark paid.

What the row contains

  • QPP contributions, for the employee and the employer.
  • QPIP premiums, for the employee and the employer.
  • Quebec income tax.
  • The Health Services Fund (HSF), as a line on the worksheet.

CNESST

CNESST premiums have their own row. They follow the Revenu Québec dates. The row says "CNESST premiums in this period: {amount}. They are paid with this remittance and listed as their own row."

Frequency

By default, Revenu Québec follows your CRA remitter type. Revenu Québec sets its own frequency from your average monthly withholding. Pick what its letter says in Settings › Remittances. See Remittance schedules.

Good to know

  • Without a Revenu Québec number on file, nil remittances for Quebec are not made.
  • A switch of an employee between provinces during the year changes the plan from that date. See The Employment tab.
  • The RL-1 slips are a year-end task. See RL-1 slips.
