What this does
The Remittances screen lists what you owe each agency for each period, and when it is due. It builds the rows from your approved, paid and filed pay runs. It is a worksheet. You pay through your bank or the agency's service.
Steps
- Approve a pay run. Remittances appear by themselves.
- Go to Remittances.
- Use the filters: All agencies, CRA, Revenu Québec, Health tax, Workers' compensation, and Any status.
- Choose a row to open it.
- Each row shows "{start} to {end} · due {due}", the amount and the status: Open, Overdue, Paid, Nil or Reported.
If there is nothing yet, it says "Nothing to remit yet. Remittances appear here when a pay run is approved."
What an opened remittance shows
- Agency, account number, remitting period, due date, status and schedule.
- Gross payroll and employees paid.
- CPP contributions for the employee and the employer, EI premiums for the employee and the employer, income tax. For Quebec: QPP, QPIP, Quebec income tax and the Health Services Fund.
- Total due, and the Pay runs included.
Actions: Mark paid, Reopen, PDF summary and Bank CSV.
Good to know
- The notice on the page says: "Worksheet only. This is not a CRA or Revenu Québec form: pay through your bank or the agency using these figures."
- A reversed run and its reversal both drop out of the rows.
- A row that is paid is never changed. A later reversal or correction makes an adjustment row. See Remittance adjustments after a correction.
- Periods with no pay are not listed, except nil remittances. See Nil remittances.
- The dashboard shows "Remittances due" with overdue ones first.
- Bank CSV is not available under a trial licence.
