What this does
Each agency sets its own payment frequency for your account. In Settings you tell SeroPayroll what each one says. The remittance list and the due dates then follow your choices.
Steps
- Go to Settings › Remittances.
- Under Revenu Québec, pick one:
- Same as the CRA remitter type (default)
- Annual, due 15 January of the next year
- Quarterly, due the 15th of the month after the quarter
- Monthly, due the 15th of the next month
- Twice monthly (1st to 15th due the 25th, 16th to end due the 10th)
- Weekly (four periods a month, due the third working day after each)
- Under British Columbia employer health tax, choose quarterly or annual. Employers over the instalment threshold pay quarterly.
- Under Workers' compensation, pick the frequency of each board in use: default, annual, quarterly or monthly.
- Save. The message says "Remittance frequencies saved; the remittance list follows them."
If no location or employee exists yet, it says "Add a location or an employee to set a board's frequency."
Where the CRA schedule is set
The CRA schedule comes from the remitter type on your CRA account, in Settings › Company. See CRA remittances (PD7A).
Good to know
- Boards set the frequency on your account. The default uses the most common schedule for the province.
- Revenu Québec assigns its own frequency from your average monthly withholding.
- Changing a schedule rebuilds the open rows. Rows already paid are not changed.
- Changes need a licence that allows writes.
- Only admins can open Settings once users exist.
