What this does
SeroPayroll writes two letters from the payroll records. Each is a PDF with your company's name and address at the top.
Steps
- Go to Employees.
- Open the row menu for the employee.
- Choose Employment verification letter… or Pay history letter….
- In the box Letter for {name}, enter Signed by and Signer's title.
- For the verification letter, tick Include the pay rate and hours if the letter should state them.
- For the pay history letter, pick the Year.
- Save. The message says "Letter saved as {name}".
What the letters say
- Confirmation of employment. States that the employee, with their employee number, has been employed by the company since the hire date, and gives the occupation. It says if the employee is current, inactive (with the reason and date) or terminated (with the date).
- Pay history. Lists the pays issued in the year with gross, deductions and net, and totals the gross and net pay.
Good to know
- The letter shows your company name and address. It shows a logo only if one is stored in the company file. The app has no screen to add a logo yet.
- The letter is made from the records. Check it before you sign.
- Under a trial licence, PDFs carry the not-for-filing mark.
- Read-only users can make letters because they only print.
