Language

What this does

SeroPayroll runs in English and in Canadian French. The choice belongs to this device and is open to every role.

Steps

1. Go to Settings › Language.
2. Pick Same as this device, English or French.
3. The screens change at once.

What changes

• All screens, buttons and messages.
• How money is written: $1,234.50 in English and 1 234,50 $ in French.

What does not change

• Dates stay in the form YYYY-MM-DD in both languages.
• When you type hours and amounts, use the decimal point.
• Some outputs are English only: the trial mark on documents, "[TRIAL]" in stub emails and the not-for-filing line.
• Your own text, such as pay item names, department names and notes, stays as you typed it.

Good to know

• The French uses Canadian terms such as paie, retenues, RPC and RRQ, AE and RQAP, relevé 1, feuillet T4 and relevé d'emploi.
• Every French text keeps the same fields and amounts as the English text.
