What this does
SeroPayroll runs on a Mac as a desktop app. It is the same program as on Windows, with the same screens and the same company files.
Steps
- Download the macOS installer from the SeroPayroll website.
- Open it and move SeroPayroll to your Applications folder.
- Start SeroPayroll.
- Sign in or create an account. See Create an account and confirm your email.
Files that open SeroPayroll
- .spr is a company file. Older .spay company files open the same way.
- .serokey is an activation key file. Open it with SeroPayroll to activate the key. You must be signed in.
Good to know
- A company file made on Windows opens on a Mac, and the other way round. Use Settings › Data and security › Move to another computer. See Move a company to another computer.
- Send by email opens the Mail program with the company file attached.
- The quiet background update is a Windows feature. On a Mac, install a newer version the same way you installed the first.
- Your licence counts each computer as one seat. See Seats, computers and deactivating a computer.
