What this does
The browser edition is the same app running in a web page. You sign in with the same account, and the same licence rules apply.
Steps
- Open the SeroPayroll browser edition from the SeroPayroll website.
- Sign in, or create an account.
- Create a company, or choose Open a company file… to load a .spr file.
- Work as you would on a computer.
- Before you finish, go to Settings › Data and security and choose Download company file.
What is different
- Your company file lives in this browser's own storage. See Browser edition: storage and Download company file.
- The browser cannot send email. Stubs are saved as PDF files.
- Backups to a folder are not available.
- You are signed out after 15 minutes of inactivity by default. See Sign in and the inactivity sign-out.
Good to know
- Clearing the browser's site data deletes the company files held there. Download a copy first.
- A different browser, or a private window, does not see the same files.
- A downloaded .spr file opens in the Windows or macOS app, and the other way round.
