Questions
Does SeroPayroll move money? No. It makes a deposit file, cheques or an e-transfer list. You send them through your bank. See The Payments screen.
Does it file with CRA for me? No. It makes the T4 and T4A XML files and the ROE Web file. You upload them. See T4 slips and the T4 return.
Can I file RL-1 as XML? Not yet. RL-1 employee copies print. See RL-1 slips.
Can employees see their own pay online? No. There is no employee portal. You give them stubs by email, print or folder. See Email stubs and the PDF password.
Does it connect to a payment provider? No. See What SeroPayroll is.
Can I use it with no internet? Yes, for payroll work. It must check in about every 30 days. See Work offline and the 30-day check-in.
Where is my data? In an encrypted file on your computer. See How company files are encrypted.
Can two people use one company? Yes, with the Cloud add-on, or by passing the file between you. See What the Cloud add-on is.
Can I run payroll for several clients? Yes. Each client is a company. The Accountant plan allows many. See Buy a plan, renew and manage seats.
How do I fix a mistake in an approved pay? Correct it, or reverse it. See Correct a pay run.
Are the tax tables up to date? The app ships with signed tables and you can install updates. See Tax tables and updates.
Is there a French version? Yes. See Language.
